I finally did it. For the longest time, I wanted to make it to this one particular spot, at night, when a train is coming. Last week I came close. I saw it far down the track, so I ran up the highway to the old train station in Terry, and as I was about to hop out of the car, the train was already passing by. Well, last night I finally caught it at the right time. I made it over the crossing, the lights were green, indicating the train was near, but its blaring headlight wasn't visible. So, I ran up to the old train station again, setup beside the old steam locomotive on display, got things framed just right and then I could see the light. It was here. I started snapping. At least a couple turned out. Even managed to get the camera level for once in my life!
I still need to get everything culled and edited, but they will be up soon. In the meantime, enjoy one of the shots while I was getting setup.
